During IGLUNA 2020 under the „AMPEX“ team we developed and constructed a miniaturized spinning unit, which is able to produce endless fibers from processable raw materials by the nozzle drawing process. The aim this year is to enable the production under vacuum conditions, so we are a step closer to produce under Moon settings.

The system in this work is looking to perform the process with minimal human interaction. The complete automation of industrial fiberglass production plants has not yet been realized, and the AIX2SPACE spinning unit will be the first to achieve automation in these systems.
