P07 – HABITAT

inflatable structure

“IGLUNA offers the opportunity to be tested the Lunar habitat in a real extreme environment. In this Project can be proved not only its construction and resilience, but also the quality of the interior conditions, whether it is suitable for scientific experiments and by other IGLUNA teams.”

about.

The Lunar habitat will be an inflatable-flexible dome structure with a visible inflatable support structure, and will be tested in lava tubes. The habitats inside, separated by an airlock, offers space for scientific experiments in extreme conditions. It will be tested for its light weight, stability, flexibility, light conditions and climate regulation (heat loss, heat exchange, humidity, etc.).

The P07 Habitat team consists of Master students of architecture, civil engineering and air conditioning engineering from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg in Germany.
