What holds the world together
20,000 to 30,000 visitors experienced science up close at Switzerland’s largest science festival. Some 1,000 researchers from the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich were on site to present their work and interact with the public in various short lectures, workshops and guided lab tours.
Exhibition
In the interactive exhibition, researchers present their current projects with exhibits you can touch and try out yourself, tricky quizzes and virtual experiences.
Shows and specials
Interactive science shows, talks with a «Schwingerköing» and a weatherman or Globi himself await you in our specials.
Short Lectures
Take a closer look at a topic and attend a short lecture. Topics range from astrophysics to dialect research, from climate change to cancer research.
Workshops and Guided Tours
Get hands-on in a workshop or discover places not usually open to the public: Labs, collections, a test site, etc.
Science Cafés and Panel discussions
Discussion formats are not only about research, but often about societal issues from a scientific perspective.
Science and the City
The warm-up program to Scientifica together with the City of Zurich. Discover places you didn’t know existed and attend one of the numerous events on topics such as water supply, geriatric medicine or the circular economy.
For Families
Especially at the Irchel and Hönggerberg sites, you will find offers such as shows or movement workshops geared towards school-age children, which they can attend with or without accompanying parents.
For Teenagers
Selected events are aimed exclusively at young people aged 13-18. For example, workshops on climate change and biodiversity, dealing with stress, or artificial intelligence or cancer research.
